Just in time for the release of Netflix’s To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You (and Valentine’s Day), you can find out which character from the hit movie is your ride or die, using an all-new Instagram filter. The popular romantic comedy series has joined the “Which __ Are You?” filter trend with a fun way to prepare for the new flick.

To those unaware, this film is the sequel to 2018’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, a Netflix original movie based on the novel of the same name, by Jenny Han. The original film was a standout with audiences due to its diverse cast, genuine story, and extremely relatable characters. It made waves on social media at a time when romantic comedies were losing popularity, and Netflix-exclusive films were just starting to hit their stride. Given the success of the original movie, and the knowledge that the books form a three-part series, fans have been clamoring for a sequel since.

Themed Instagram filters have gone viral several times over the last year or so, most notably due to actors and filmmakers themselves sharing videos of their own experiences with them. Major franchises like Pokémon, and Star Wars have recently joined in on the fun, so it’s only right that the To All the Boys cast has also taken to social media to show off the new “Love Letter” filter. The film’s lead actors, Lana Condor and Noah Centineo, had amusing, yet predictable results with the filter on the official Instagram page.

How to Find and Use the To All the Boys 2 Instagram Filter

The process of installing the filter yourself is fairly simple. First, you’ll need to navigate to the film’s page. Open the Instagram smartphone app and tap the search button (the magnifying glass) at the bottom of the screen. From there, search “toalltheboys” to find the movie’s official Instagram account, @toalltheboysnetflix. Once you’ve reached the account page, you’ll need to get into its effects tab to find the filter. To get there, you can either swipe left two times, or tap the icon resembling a smiling emoji with a “+” sign.

From here you’ll see a video marked “Love Letter”, featuring star Lana Condor demonstrating the filter. Open the video, tap the button labeled “Try It” to open up your own camera, and use the menu at the bottom of your camera screen to save the effect. This will add the filter to your effects gallery, making it easier to select when you record any future Instagram videos. Hold down that shutter button to start recording and you’ll be on your way to learning who your To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You ride or die character is.
